Paul McCarthy
Actor - The Artist

Paul started his acting career aged eleven. He trained with Kate Williams at The Theatre Royal Stratford East and the Barbara Speake Stage School. He has a long CV with credits from many programs over the years such as; 'The Benny Hill Show', 'Z Cars' and 'Mixed Blessings'. Paul played the Artful Dodger in 'Oliver' at the Albury Theatre in London's West End aged just thirteen. He played George Jackson in 'Late Expectations' with Keith Baron and Nannette Newman, Skip Marcus in 'Laura and Disorder' with Wendy Craig and appeared in 'The Bill' as Mike Phipps. But he would most like to be remembered for his role as Tommy Watson in 'Grange Hill' and 'Tuckers Luck'.

Paul's directorial credits include; 'Can't Pay, Won't Pay' at the Pentameters Theatre Hampstead and 'News Review' at The Canal Café Theatre. He has written his first feature film 'Hello My Lovelies'; which follows the life of one of England's most loved comedians Mrs. Shufflewick. Paul recently wrote, directed and performed in 'Carry On Dick Whittington', at the Pavilion Theatre Brighton. The show was a great success and a national tour is planned. Paul is now in the development stages of writing 'Happiest Days of Your Life', a new comedy drama for television. Paul would like to say that Through The Looking Glass has been a challenging and rewarding project for him to work on and he has a lot of faith in its future.
