Ros Povey
Actress - The Life Model

After a childhood filled with jazz, ballet, tap and modern classes, Ros decided against a career in musicals and embarked on a drama degree at Birmingham University in 1989, followed by post-grad training at Guildford School of Acting.

For most of her career she has enjoyed flexing both her acting and producing muscles, initially starting a company (Theatre Tapestry) after graduating in 1992 which took classics and Shakespeare to castles and National Trust properties across the UK.

Post-drama school, Ros was a founding member of Galliard Productions with whom she co-produced THE INTERESTING SIDE OF ORDINARY at The Spot (2000) and performed in LONDON ROCKS, a one-off charity performance at the Adelphi Theatre, London (2001).

Since the mid-1990's she has performed with numerous companies, mainly on the London and Edinburgh fringe and has been involved in new writing workshops and a showcase at the Soho Theatre, promoting the collaboration of young directors and writers. She has also enjoyed the odd foray into radio drama and film, most recently taking the lead in WHO KNOWS NOWHERE for Idiotlamp Productions.

She is currently working with a theatre producer to set up a new production company in the West End.

Ros particularly enjoyed working on THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS with such a creative and professional team and hopes the film will achieve the success and indeed cult status it deserves!
